Nancy Gagliardi Little: Get Tight Turns with Front or Blind Crosses (Sunday, August 26th, 6:00 PM-8:30 PM)

Each dog and handler team must develop a unique communication system in order to successfully navigate a course. This depends both on the dog's needs as well as the handler.

Nancy Gagliardi Little will help you develop better timing as well as choosing good handling options for you and your dog to help you develop as a team.  Sequences will be Masters level with jumps and tunnels. We will do 12-15 obstacle sequences, focusing on handling that is suited for you and your dog. There will be Premier (AKC)/Master Challenge (USDAA) challenges in these sequences to help prepare you for some of the challenges in AKC or USDAA trials or at AKC Nationals.

Seminar fees are non refundable unless the spot can be filled off the wait list.

If the event is full, to be put on the WAITLIST please select the Register button and fill out the Waltlist form!

About Nancy Gagliardi Little

I am a retired obedience judge, having judged all obedience classes from 1986-2008. I enjoyed judging around the country and had the honor of judging 3 National obedience tournaments in Florida, Kentucky, and North Carolina. I retired from judging because I no longer have the time to spend travelling because of the amount of time I use training and trialing in areas outside of obedience - specifically herding and agility. I do miss the judging, though.

Over the years, I have moved from a traditional obedience training background towards positive methods in training dogs in all areas. I use a lot of classical conditioning in my obedience training as well as in agility. I love training this way and love how the dogs learn how to make mistakes and continue to stay focused.

My trademark in training dogs is that I draw from my experience from training and competing in multiple sports, which has given me insight into innovative and creative ways of training and handling dogs. What I find is that most experienced trainers have no issues training the "big picture", but they tend to lose sight of some of the little details that are the building blocks to helping with the communication and the relationship between them and their dogs. I love working with very different challenges and trying to help people find a way to improve their communication with their partner.
